Boothroyd Distribution is an authorised UK distributor of Cellular Path. It supplies resellers in Great Britain, and it sells through resellers and never to end users.

Its featured product today is Cellular Path's self-aiming antenna mount, a motorised mount for a directional 4G or 5G antenna. It turns the antenna through a full circle, measures the signal at twelve points, and holds it on the strongest one. When the network changes, the scan runs again from an app.

Boothroyd Distribution is the supply arm of Boothroyd Group, and it has its own site, boothroyddistribution.com, where resellers apply and read the product detail.

Advice is contracted on its own terms. Where the group advises on a design, it says in writing what Boothroyd Distribution supplies, and the client is free to buy anything elsewhere.

In 1956 a Glasgow firearms expert named Geoffrey Boothroyd wrote to the novelist Ian Fleming to say that the pistol his hero carried was the wrong choice for the work. Fleming took the advice, and named a character after the man who had written the letter.

The practice was founded by an engineer who spent fifteen years designing and running connectivity for operations that could not afford to stop. That engineer kept being called in after the decision had already been made. Usually the equipment was fine. The thinking around it was not.

Boothroyd exists to be involved earlier than that: reading what has been proposed, understanding what the operation needs, and saying so when the two do not match.
